ThIS Training is a Lismore based training organisation that develops and delivers evidence informed workshops and training packages to individuals and organisations engaging with people of all ages with complex behaviours.  Our expertise ranges across neuroscience, developmental trauma, therapeutic practice, disability & inclusion, vicarious trauma, PTSD and education support.
We believe that the best training is culturally aware training that is developed WITH the organisation, delivered by professionals who have first-hand experience in the field and supports the practice and culture of each individual service.  We are passionate about producing great outcomes for organisations and the people they work with every day.

We recognise the unique challenges that come with working in remote and poorly resourced areas,  and are committed to ensuring that organisations that service people living in regional and rural areas have access to the same high quality face to face training afforded to the larger cities.

Kym had fantastic research and a variety of sources and understandings that are relevant, up to date and factual. TESTIMONIALS

Vicarious Trauma Training
“I believe this training is exactly what the team needed for their role. What was delivered to the team can be implemented in both Professional and personal settings and I believe there were a lot of ‘Ahha’ moments for everyone. Kym delivered the content in a way that she felt like one of us, and not someone from the outside telling us how to do our job”
Northcott Early Childhood Services 2024
FASD Workshop
"This was a wonderful workshop.  Having personal and professional interest in FASD, this workshop provided greater understanding of all aspects of FASD, from understanding behaviours, to diagnosis, and best ways to work with people both diagnosed or not.  I would highly recommend this to anyone in the youth, education and community services sector -it was informative as much as it was engaging. Kym was a fabulous facilitator"

Hurt People Hurt People (Trauma Puzzle TM)
“This training made so much sense of behaviour I see in both the young people and adults that I work with every day, and gave practical ways of responding that I could embed into my practice. Kym was so passionate about the training, and her stories and examples were spot on – as well as funny! It was a great day and I think everyone who works in this sector should have this training”

Trauma, Attachment  & Positive Behaviour Support
Thanks so much Kym!  The team here enjoyed the training immensely.  We each got so much useful knowledge and understanding out of it, plus practical tools for our daily use.  Thanks so much for bringing the content alive.  You are obviously so passionate about all of this content and bring excellent examples to make it accessible for all participants.  Thank you again.

Trauma and Aging
This was essential training for the team to understand more about why people may not engage with services, and ways to interact so that we can get the best outcomes for those we work with.  The intergenerational trauma and neuroscience of aging sections were particularly useful, and the level of enthusiasm and professionalism the trainer presented the workshop kept us engaged.   This training is perfect for anyone working with the aged.

Working with Trauma In Early Childhood  Education
I really loved how this training was presented, Kym engaged everyone and at no point did i feel pressured or put on the spot to answer questions.  Trauma is such a sensitive and heavy topic and Kym was consistently respectful and professional in her nature of delivering the training.   It has broadened my understanding of trauma and how it impacts children's behaviours, and best ways to respond.
